Wimbledon defending champion Serena Williams has revealed that she is a member of British teenager Laura Robson's fan club, even as her desire to fight off the threat of new kids in women's tennis grows further.
According to the Daily Star, Williams is looking forward to face Britain's new favourite in the quarterfinal, who is one of the upcoming stars to have made their presence felt at this year's Wimbledon, adding that it would be a great opportunity for the teenager.
The American is going to face 2011 semi-finalist Sabine Lisicki in a fourth round match today but said that people would love to see Laura win the tournament.
Serena added that there was a new generation coming up to take over women's tennis and cause a shift.
