'The X-Files' is coming back on Fox network, as new six-episode "event series."

Network bosses declared that the show would debut on January 24th after the NFC championship football game, and will move to its normal Monday 8 pm time slot afterwards, the Verge reported.

The sci-fi show's plot details are yet to be revealed.

The new limited series is coming courtesy of Chris Carter, the brains behind the original series featuring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.
