Tom Cruise has said that Katie Holmes never told him that scientology was a factor in their divorce.
The 'Top Gun' star told the lawyer of Bauer Publishing that it was just an assertion that Holmes left in order to protect their daughter from the religion, and that there are many other aspects to the divorce, People Magazine reported.
Cruise has filed a 50 million dollars lawsuit against the publishing house for their cover stories, which claimed that he "abandoned" his daughter Suri after splitting with the 'Batman Begins' star.
