UN report on Sri Lanka to be listed before UNHRC in Geneva

The UN report mandated investigation carried out by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) into the alleged war crimes committed during the war in Sri Lanka will be listed at the UN Human Rights Council today in Geneva.

According to LankaPage, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein said that the report will be released on Wednesday.

Hussein's statement came during his opening remarks at the 30th Session of UNHRC on Monday.

A copy of the report was handed over to the Government of Sri Lanka last week.
