Uttar Pradesh BJP unit chief Laxmi Kant Bajpai today criticized Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati for projecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Government in poor light, and accused her of betraying those who had helped her to become the chief minister of the state.

"She (Mayawati) has betrayed that society on whose support she became as chief minister of the state. She championed herself as a 'daughter of a Dalit', and instead she has transformed herself into a 'daughter of wealth'. It is she who has betrayed and not Narendra Modi. What has she done and achieved after remaining as chief minister of the state. Our leader Narendra Modi will give his report card to the people of Varanasi and to the people of this country after sixty-months when the nation goes to polls," he said.

Asserting that the first three months of the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government have been disappointing, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati had on Saturday said the Centre has failed to curb rising inflation and unemployment in the country.

She was also critical about the incidents of misbehavior directed against non-BJP chief ministers in the presence of Prime Minister Modi.
