A US female captive has been killed in a Jordanian air strike in Syria, claim Islamic State (IS) militants.
Releasing a statement, the IS said that Kayle Jean Mueller, an aid worker, was killed in the building where she was being held.
The militant group hasn't provided any other evidence for the claim apart from pictures of the alleged site of the air strike in Raqqa, the BBC reported.
In response, the White House had expressed its concerns over the reports, but said that it was yet to confirm the claims, the report added.
If the report is confirmed, she would be the fourth American to have been killed while being held as hostage by IS.
