A top US general has reportedly said that North Korea is capable of building miniaturized nuclear warhead.
According to The Washington Times and as reported by The Wall Street Journal, Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, commander of US forces on the Korean peninsula, told reporters at the Pentagon that North Korea's mastery of the technology has put it within reach of having a nuclear-tipped missile.
The general said that given their technological capabilities and the time that they been working on this, North Korea probably has the capabilities to put this together.
While North Korea has been constantly struggling to assemble a functioning missile, a launcher and a nuclear warhead, Gen. Scaparrotti's comments suggest it is very close to achieving its goal, the report said.
