US State Department spokesperson Marie Harf has said that the United States has no say in Pakistan's decision to remove moratorium on the death penalty in terror cases.
Harf said during her daily press briefing that this was an "issue for Pakistan" and that the decision was theirs to make.
On being questioned about the human rights bodies condemning Pakistan's decision to carry out executions, Harf shrugged it off saying "We just don't have a position on that to outline for you," The Express Tribune reported.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lifted a six-year moratorium on the death penalty in terrorism-related cases in the wake of the recent Peshawar school tragedy.
At least 132 children and nine staff members were killed when seven Taliban gunmen attacked a military-run school in Peshawar.
