Australian spin legend Shane Warne will reportedly mentor his former team's spinners, with special focus on offspinner Nathan Lyon, to help Australia win the series decider against South Africa in Cape Town, starting on Saturday.
Warne will work mostly with Lyon in the lead-up to the third Test at Newlands starting on Saturday, along with Twenty20 spinners James Muirhead, Brad Hogg and Glenn Maxwell who are in the country to prepare for three T20 clashes.
According to News.com.au, however, the former leg-spinner would also be dishing out advice to the Test players based on his vast experience, be around the team and help in general, adding that his presence at training was keenly received by the squad.
Warne further said that he would be helping the T20 squad to prepare for their World Cup, which will begin in Bangladesh in March, although he insisted that he is strictly assisting the side as a consultant instead of a coach.
