Fiat India that has plans to launch the several new vehicles, facelifts and new brands in the next couple of years, has now hinted at the launch of Linea Classic very soon. Although, the company hasn't clearly stated the name of the vehicle to be launched, it has shared a banner on its fan page, which reads as 'Launching Soon, a Fiat experience that will make heads turn and shutterbugs click, WHEREVER YOU GO'.
When we contacted to our trusted sources on the same, they also gave us hint at the launch of Linea Classic in India in the national capital. The Linea Classic isn't a new model, but a re-branded Linea, which will now be positioned in the lower C-segment. The repositioning/re branding will help the company leave a place for Linea facelift, to be launched later this year. The company has been testing the Linea facelift for quite sometime now, which we believe to be rolled out during the festive season October.
Since it will now be sold as lower c-segment sedan car, we can expect some features to be removed from the existing Linea, which the facelift might carry along with a 1.6-litre Multijet diesel engine. The Fiat Linea Classic might carry the same 1.4-litre petrol mill and 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine. The Fiat Linea Classic might also come at a more affordable pricing, so to compete well against the Swift Dzire, Ford Classic, Honda Amaze, Sail sedan and Toyota Etios.
This is all what we have for now, stay tuned to CarDekho for all the latest updates on the same. Cheers!
