Recently, Hyundai launched the Grand i10 in India, which has received an overwhelming response from the buyers across the nation. Now, the company has stopped selling the i10 hatch with 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol engine. Moreover, it has also discontinued the two top end variants - the Sportz and Asta, which sports the 1.2L Kappa2 engine.

This has helped the company to create some space between the prices of Grand i10 and top end variants of i10, as the price gap between these models was quite narrow. Hyundai recently hiked the prices of its entire model range except Grand i10, which further narrowed the gap between the top end i10 models and Grand.

The Hyundai i10 is now available in two variants - the Era and Magna, and are powered by the 1.1-litre iRDE engine. This discontinuation of the top end variants has also removed the automatic transmission option in the i10 lineups. The company will soon going to launch an automatic transmission version of Grand i10 in India.
