Mahindra Ssangyong unveils Korando SUV at the Indian Auto Expo'14

The compact SUV segment has been populating with the time, and looking at the expansion rate of the segment, car manufacturers are confidently launching new SUV vehicles in the market. The South Korean car brand, Ssangyong brings its well renowned SUV Korando in the Indian car market. The particular SUV has been doing great business for the company across the globe, while the same has been launched as per the Indian market requirements.

The 2014 Korando has received some subtle changes over the exteriors; the front gets new projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs, newly designed grille and a sporty looking bumper. The new Korando is available with three shades of new exciting colors- Sunrise red, Cosmic blue and Carbonic grey. While the rear has got new LED integrated tail lamps.

The interiors of the car has also received significant changes, and now features dashboard with soft-touch material, complemented with natural matt wood grain inserts, several storage spaces incorporated that includes enlarged cup holders, a mobile phone tray and flip-down sunglasses tray.

In terms of safety features, the SUV comes equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with emergency brake assist and four-channel Anti-lock Braking System ( ABS), the four-wheel drive system to serve better performance with best possible grip and control. Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Active Roll-over Protection (ARP) are also included in the safety package.

Under the hood, the new SUV gets a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine which is capable to churn maximum power output of 173bhp and peak torque of 360Nm.
