Australian stock market finished session lower on Thursday, 12 April 2018, as risk aversion selloff triggered on increasing tensions between the US and Russia over Syria after US President Donald Trump warned Russia of imminent military action in Syria, declaring missiles "will be coming". Meanwhile, selloff pressure intensified on renewed trade war concerns between China and US after China's commerce ministry saying that trade negotiations with the United States would be impossible. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed down 13.2 points, or 0.23%, at 5,815.5 points while the broader All Ordinaries was down 14.4 points, or 0.24%, at 5,911.4 points.
