DQ Entertainment International surged 15.16% to Rs 16.10 at 12:15 IST on BSE after the company announced the appointment of new licensing agents for its popular brand The Jungle Book.
The announcement was made during market hours today, 15 September 2017.Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 60.33 points, or 0.19% at 32,181.60. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 34.45 points, or 0.21% at 16,590.85.
On the BSE, 1.02 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 1.3 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 16.50 and a low of Rs 13.50 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 29.85 on 1 November 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 11.50 on 11 August 2017.
The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 79.28 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
The stock had jumped 6.15% to Rs 13.98 yesterday, 14 September 2017.
The Jungle Book series will be represented for licensing & merchandising by The Licensing Group (TLG) in North America, CPL for Latin America & Mexico and CIMCA in Central America. While Sinecast, Turkey has been appointed as promotional partners for the brand in Turkey.

DQ Entertainment reported consolidated net profit of Rs 4.75 crore in Q1 June 2017 compared with net loss of Rs 16.65 crore in Q1 June 2016. Net sales fell 43.3% to Rs 18.01 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.
