Hong Kong Hang Seng gains 1.1% on firmer U.S. equities

The Hong Kong stock market closed higher for a third day in a row on Monday, 11 December 2017, following continued advance on Wall Street last week, with shares of tech and insurance firms leading rally. The Hang Seng Index advanced 1.1%, or 325.44 points, to end at 28,965.29. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, known as the H-shares index, rose 1.3% to 11,431.62. Turnover decreased to HK$109.2 billion from HK$115.4 billion on Friday.
