Lux Industries spurts on its debut on BSE

Lux Industries jumped 6.14% to Rs 3,821 at 10:38 IST on BSE after the stock made its debut on the bourse.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 35.14 points or 0.14% to 25,658.49

On BSE, so far 2,861 shares were traded in the counter. The stock hit a high of Rs 3,905 and a low of Rs 3,651 so far during the day.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 5.05 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

The shares were listed and admitted to dealings on the BSE in the list of 'B' group securities. It may be recalled that shares of Lux Industries, which makes innerwear under the Lux brand, had debuted on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on 30 November 2015. Earlier, the stock was already listed on the Calcutta and Ahmedabad stock exchanges, according to media reports.

Lux Industries' net profit rose 40.9% to Rs 13.05 crore on 0.1% fall in total income to Rs 252.12 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.
