Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The February 2016 futures on the 50-unit Nifty 50 index traded at 7434.15, a premium of 30.15 points compared with Nifty's closing of 7404 in the cash market. Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures and options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 2.18 lakh crore from turnover of Rs 2.15 lakh crore registered during the previous trading session.
In the cash market, the Nifty rose 42.20 points or 0.57% to settle at 7,404, its highest closing level since 2 February 2016.
Yes Bank, State Bank of India, Aurobindo Pharma, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Industries were listed among top traded individual stock futures contracts on the futures & options (F&O) segment of NSE. Yes Bank February 2016 futures traded at 765, at a discount compared with spot closing of 761.40. State Bank of India February 2016 futures traded at 164.50, at a discount compared with spot closing of 164. Aurobindo Pharma February 2016 futures traded at 742.60, at a discount compared with spot closing of 742.40.
Larsen & Toubro February 2016 futures traded at 1138.20, at a discount compared with spot closing of 1138. Reliance Industries February 2016 futures traded at 982.75, at a discount compared with spot closing of 977.65.
The February 2016 F&O contracts are set to expire on 25 February 2016.
