Adani Enterprises, Reliance Industries (RIL) and ICICI Bank were the top traded contracts.

The Nifty March 2023 futures closed at 17,140, a premium of 96.7 points compared with the Nifty's closing of 17,043.30 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 290.47 lakh crore compared with Rs 212.26 lakh crore reported in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 lost 111 points or 0.65% to settle at 17,043.30.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, added 0.01% to 16.22.

Adani Enterprises, RIL and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The March 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 29 March 2023.
