Nifty November futures trade at premium

Turnover on NSE's F&O segment surges

The Nifty November 2017 futures traded at 10,324.95, a premium of 29.60 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10,295.35 in the cash market. The Nifty October 2017 futures traded at 10,289.55, a discount of 5.80 points from Nifty's spot closing of 10,295.35 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 12.02 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 7.07 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 87.65 points or 0.86% to settle at 10,295.35.

State Bank of India (SBI), ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), HDFC Bank and Canara Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. SBI October 2017 futures traded at 321.70, at a discount from spot closing of 322.95. ICICI Bank October 2017 futures traded at 304, at a discount from spot closing of 305.35.

PNB October 2017 futures traded at 199, at a discount from spot closing of 205.75. HDFC Bank October 2017 futures traded at 1792.05, at a discount from spot closing of 1795.15. Canara Bank October 2017 futures traded at 439.30, at a discount over spot closing of 440.

The October 2017 F&O contracts expire tomorrow, 26 October 2017.
