Nifty May futures at premium
The Nifty April 2018 futures traded at 10568.60, a small discount of 1.95 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10570.55 in the cash market.
The Nifty May 2018 futures traded at 10591.10, a premium of 20.55 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 9.98 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 7.12 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 43.80 points or 0.41% to settle at 10,570.55.
Reliance Industries, TCS, Bharti Airtel, NIIT Technologies and MindTree were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Reliance Industries April 2018 futures traded at 971.65, at a discount from spot closing of 972. TCS April 2018 futures traded at 3464.10, at a discount from spot closing of 3466.
Bharti Airtel April 2018 futures traded at 417, at a discount from spot closing of 418.05. NIIT Technologies April 2018 futures traded at 1072.95, at a discount from spot closing of 1095. MindTree April 2018 futures traded at 1031.50, at a discount from spot closing of 1034.
The April 2018 F&O contracts expire tomorrow, 26 April 2018. The May 2018 F&O contracts expire on 31 May 2018.
