About 300,000 people in seven cities of China have been affected as heavy rains have lashed the country's Gansu province since Tuesday, authorities said Friday.
At least person has died and 2,267 houses have been damaged in rain-triggered floods. About 34,100 people have been evacuated, reported Xinhua citing local authorities.
In the worst-hit Wenxian County of Longnan City, the rainstorm at one point had cut off water, power supplies and communication in Bikou town. Water and power supplies were resuming gradually in the town.
