Bengaluru breached FIFA norms regarding Robin transfer: Delhi Dynamos

Accusing Bengaluru FC of "unprofessional and negligent behaviour" towards their striker Robin Singh, Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Delhi Dynamos on Wednesday claimed the I-League club breached FIFA norms regarding player transfer.

India international Robin Singh has been in the centre of tussle between Delhi Dynamos FC and Bengaluru as an agreement hasn't been penned as yet. Robin is inclined to play for Bengaluru FC and needs a loan agreement between the two parties to take the field.

He failed to return to Bengauluru for the I-League club starting on January 9 leaving the 2013-14 champions to claim that Dynamos didn't complete the formalities in time.

"Delhi Dynamos never entered into any agreement with Bengaluru FC to release Robin Singh for any post-season/pre-season camp. Ideally any official Football club should wait for a written agreement of transfer before contacting and taking a player from its Parent Club," Dynamos said in a statement.

"Bengaluru FC did not provide Robin Singh with any insurance on joining the pre-season, nor did they provide him with a formal agreement for transfer. Neither did they follow into any agreement with DDFC for such matter."

"DDFC is willing to go to the highest level against Bengaluru FC for such unprofessional and negligent behaviour towards our player Robin Singh and Delhi Dynamos FC. Bengaluru FC has clearly breached FIFA norms," it added.

Dynamos claimed that since Robin was interested to ply his trade abroad and so they weren't keen to let the star striker sign for Bengaluru FC. They further claimed that there was no written contract between the ISL and Bengaluru FC Robin had to be released to them.

"Robin Singh has shown us interest to be transferred to an International club, for which the club has contacted the clubs in Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia. A positive and interested response has been received from the clubs in Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavian Clubs," Dynamos said.

Robin reported to Bengaluru FC last month and participated in two training sessions before joining the national camp for SAFF Cup.

"There was communication by Bengaluru FC to AIFF that Robin Singh will be late to join the national camp without consulting from the parent club Delhi Dynamos FC."
