Brazilian defender Emerson is set to join Italian Serie A side Palermo on loan, media reports said.
The 20-year-old Santos left-back has already undergone a medical at the Sicilian club, whose officials are expected to confirm the move within days, Xinhua quoted football news portal Sambafoot as saying.
Emerson, a former Brazil under-17 representative, has made 16 first-team starts for Santos since his debut in 2012.
But he has struggled for opportunities this season with coach Oswaldo Oliveira preferring Eugenio Mena and Ze Carlos.
Palermo, who won promotion from Italy's Serie B last year, are expected to be given the option of buying Emerson outright next summer.
