Cigniti Technologies acquires US firm

Cigniti Technologies Ltd, India's largest independent software testing services company, Wednesday announced acquisition of Gallop Solutions Inc, a US-based specialised software testing services company.

The combined entity is poised to become the world's third largest independent software testing services company with revenues of $40 million and more than 800 employees worldwide, said a statement by Hyderabad-based Cigniti Technologies.

Cigniti Technologies is one of the fastest growing IT services companies and aims to become the world leader in software testing in the next few years through a combination of organic and inorganic growth.

Founded in 2009, Gallop Solutions is based in Irving, Texas, in the US with an offshore technology centre at Hyderabad. Gallop employs more than 200 people worldwide with 2012 revenues over $9.5 million.

"This merger will add value to everyone concerned including shareholders, clients and employees," said Sriram Rajaram, president strategy and corporate Development, Cigniti.
