The Congress has given a breach of privilege notice against Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar for "misleading" the Lok Sabha over disruptions in the house.

The notice was given by party member K.C. Venugopal to the Lok Sabha Speaker on the concluding day of the budget session of Parliament, where the second part saw constant disruptions and a blame game between the government and opposition parties who wanted to raise a number of issues including the banking fraud, "dilution" of the SC/ST Act and CBSE paper leakage. The opposition later gave notice for no-trust motion.

Venugopal said opposition was keen to hold a discussion on the no-confidence motion and other pressing issues.

Ananth Kumar had blamed the Congress and its top leadership for the stalemate which led to washout of the the second half of budget session.
