Delhi Assembly's winter session extended till December 4

The Delhi Assembly's winter session was extended on Thursday till December 4 for clearing the "important" bills, including Jan Lokpal legislation.

The proposal, moved by Aam Aadmi Party chief whip Jagdeep Singh, was passed by the house, minus two BJP MLAs who staged a walkout.

The winter session, which began on November 18, was to end on November 28.

The city government has tabled six bills so far out of which two have been passed. The government is yet to table its key Jan Lokpal Bill.
