Delhi continued to suffer the heat on Sunday as the maximum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 42 degrees Celsius.
However, the Met has forecast an overcast sky on Monday with chances of thunderstorm.
"Monday is likely to be overcast. There are chances of dust storm and thunderstorm as well. However, the temperature is likely to be the same," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 30.6 degrees celsius, three notches above the season's average.
Saturday's maximum temperature was recorded at 42.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled at 30 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
