An elderly couple was found murdered in a posh colony of Agra on Sunday, police said.
Leather dealer Avinash Grover, 69, and his wife Usha, 65, were found lying in a pool of blood in the store room of their house in Khandari Colony, said police officials of Hari Parbat police station.
While the husband's hands were tied at the back with a rope, his wife's mouth was stuffed with polythene and then taped.
The two had been bludgeoned with a spade, police said. Their bodied were found by neighbours.
The couple's son Girish had gone to Delhi with his family, but returned on Sunday after being informed about the incident.
