A prominent businessman from Gujarat and parliamentarian from Banaskantha, Parthibhai Ghemarbhai Chaudhary is among the 21 new ministers inducted into the Narendra Modi government.
Educated at Mumbai University, the 60-year-old has also been an agriculturist.
He was elected to parliament in 1998 and 1999.
Chaudhary joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the late 1980s and held various posts in the party.
He was also the member of Parliament's Standing Committee on Urban and Rural Development.
