West Bengal's Krishnadevpur High School (KDP) thrashed Sri Lanka Defence School from Colombo 20-0 to log full points in a Pool A match of the 55th Subroto Cup International Football Tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here Wednesday.
NCC, Maharashtra, also of Pool A, defeated Kerala's NNM High Secondary School 5-0 to share the top slot with KDP. Rushikesh More scored a brace in 27th and 46th minutes while Kamran Ansari, Devraj and Koku struck a goal each. Both teams have four points with a win and a draw.
KDP's Amit Dey scored a double hat-trick to emerge as the top goal-scorer of the competition. Robin Yadav scored four goals. Noren Tudu (3), Rahul Chandha (3), Tushar (2) and Sougata Dey and Mohammad Shabaz (1) all made merry against a hapless Sri Lankan Defence School.
In other matches, Assam's Birjhora Higher Secondary School drew goalless with Southpoint Public School, Haryana, in Group D. Goa's Bethany Convent High School got full points after Government Secondary School from Car Nicobar Islands decided to forfeit the match.
Greenwood High School, Nagaland, drew with St. Ignatius High School, Jharkhand, 1-1. Lok Smriti Higher Secondary School, Nepal, defeated Sainik School, Manipur, 5-1. Maharashtra High School and Jr. College, Maharashtra. beat Govt. Sr Sec School, Lakshadweep, 12-0.
