Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will inaugurate the state's first licensed airport at Hisar on August 15, official sources said on Wednesday.
The airport will also be the state's first to enable operation of commercial flights.
"Civil Aviation Advisor Ashok Sangwan and Hisar Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Meena on Wednesday held a meeting with airport officers and discussed the status of electricity, water, communication services, firefighting, police post and other facilities there and fixed completion deadlines for the same," the spokesman said.
A team of Directorate General of Civil Aviation will visit the airport on August 10 for inspection. Its security audit will be carried out on August 13.
