Heavy rainfall will continue in Himachal Pradesh after Renuka in Sirmaur district recorded the heaviest - 300 mm - in the state, the Met Office said Wednesday.
"Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred in some places. The rain lowered the maximum and minimum temperatures by several notches," an official of the local meteorological office told IANS.
According to the Met Office, rain will continue in the low and mid hills till July 18.
Gaggal, Palampur, Nahan and Manali towns received 152 mm, 107 mm, 56 mm and 19 mm rain till Wednesday morning.
But, state capital Shimla, which recorded a maximum temperature of 24.1 degrees Celsius, experienced just 0.6 mm of rain.
