Japanese midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake on Friday signed a four-year contract with Spanish football club Sevilla after passing a medical.

The 26-year-old is the second signing by the reigning Europa League champions this year, after the signing of midfielder Pablo Sarabia from Getafe, reports Efe.

Kiyotake, capped 36 times with Japan, played the last two seasons at Hannover 96, after two previous years in Nuremberg.

"I am very happy and grateful to everyone who they have helped me to sign the contract with Sevilla," Kiyotake said in a release.

"One of my goals in two years is to play the World Cup with Japan, but first and foremost is steady me at Sevilla and compete in the Champions League. I want to try to be a great value to the team."
