Singer Katy Perry has released the highly-anticipated music video for her 2016 Rio Olympics anthem "Rise".
"Through the blood, sweat (lots of it), and tears, we keep rising. Finally, my new video for 'Rise'," Perry tweeted, reports aceshowbiz.com.
In the video, directed by Paul Gore and produced by Matthew Ayriss and Danny Lockwood, Perry is seen struggling with her pink parachute under water and dangling from a rocky cliff.
The "Fireworks" singer eventually flies with her parachute before landing on the rocky cliff again.
Perry had previously said that this song had been "brewing inside me for years".
"I was inspired to finish it now, rather than save it for my next album, because now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite. I know that together we can rise above the fear, in our country, and around the world," she said.
