Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will meet Lt. Governor Anil Baijal on Tuesday afternoon to demand action against the ABVP and those who issued rape threats to a Delhi University student.

Kejriwal also alleged that the anti-national slogans were usually raised on directions of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student's wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS).

Gurmehar Kaur, a Delhi University student and daughter of an army Captain who died in the 1999 Kargil war, launched a social media campaign against the ABVP in wake of the violence in Ramjas College.

She later withdrew her campaign on Tuesday after receiving rape and death threats on social media by some who called her "anti-national".

"I'm withdrawing from the campaign. Congratulations everyone. I request to be left alone. I said what I had to say," she said.

"I have been through a lot and this is all my 20-year self could take."

Kejriwal had earlier held the BJP responsible for the Ramjas violence and the subsequent threats to Kaur.

"Threatening our daughters and sisters with rape; is this BJP's patriotism? Shame on these people," he said.

On February 22, Clashes erupted between activists of the left-wing All India Students Association (AISA) and the ABVP outside Ramjas College, after the ABVP forced suspension of an event to be addressed by JNU student Umar Khalid.

Khalid was jailed last year on sedition charges for allegedly shouting anti-national slogans.
