Actress-singer Lady Gaga was ecstatic and emotional upon her first nomination and victory at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards here late on Sunday.
She won the best actress in a limited series or motion picture for her role as the countess in "American Horror Story: Hotel".
Accepting the award, she said: "I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film 'Moonstruck' right now. It's like one of the greatest moments of my life."
Gaga also thanked her co-stars for helping her to "shine" and also added that she had dreamt of becoming an actress before wanting to become a singer, but "music worked out first".
A hugely-popular singer, Gaga, who usually chooses bizarre outfits for her appearances, was dressed in a simple black ensemble with a flattering neckline.
