The Argentine football team returned home sad after losing 1-4 in penalty shootout to Chile in the Copa America final.
Only a few fans waited at the Ezeiza International Airport here on Sunday night to welcome the team back home, and the players and technical staff did not make any comments on the final, reports Xinhua.
Local press expressed disappointment on their front covers.
"Argentina did little to break the defeat streak," said daily El Clarin.
Daily Perfil said "Another lost final for Messi and his ballet", while Tiempo Argentino wrote "It was another disappointment", and La Nacion said "Another dream has evaporated". The anger and disappointment were clear.
