Italian football club Napoli has stepped up its pursuit of Marco Verratti with a "monstrous offer", the Paris Saint-Germain player's agent said.
Donato Di Campi Thursday said Napoli held talks with PSG and tabled a bid for his client, reports Xinhua.
The 20-year-old Italian international reportedly wants three million euros a season, and PSG are thought to be ready to pay him only 1.6 million.
Napoli have the chance to snap up the young Italian with a bigger salary, Di Campi hinted.
"The fact is that Marco still has four years to go on his contract here. However, he is not short of alternatives. Just this morning, a monstrous offer arrived on behalf of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis," he said.
