National award winner arrested for molestation in Delhi

A national award winner and Guinness Records holder in dance was Sunday arrested for molesting his wife's female student, police said.

Syed Sallauddin Pasha, a dancer and choreographer, was arrested from his home at Madhu Vihar area in east Delhi, after a complaint was filed by the woman who works as a dance teacher at a dance centre run by Pasha's wife.

According to the woman's complaint, Pasha, who also looks after his wife's dance centre, had gone to meet a sponsor in Daryaganj area a few days ago along with the woman. While returning, he molested the woman inside a car.

The complainant, who lives separately from her husband, told Pasha's wife about the incident and also informed police.

The woman claimed Pasha also used to sexually abuse his female students.

Police said Pasha's wife also lodged a separate complaint of domestic violence, attempt to murder and abetment to suicide at Madhu Vihar police station.
