In order to create awareness about northeastern states, the second edition of the North East Festival will begin in Delhi Friday.
The four-day festival will showcase handlooms, handicrafts, agricultural products from the region including traditional dances, songs and ethnic food items from the northeastern states.
The event is being organised by socio-cultural trust Trend MMS in association with the northeast community of Delhi, ministry of home affairs, development of northeast region ministry and Indira Gandhi National Centre for Art.
This year, the festival will include talk sessions on issues concerning the northeast people in Delhi, including an exhibition of photographs, paintings and films.
