The Madhya Pradesh government is to honour the 24,000 policemen who were deployed for security during the mega Simhastha Kumbh in April-May in Ujjain with medals and appreciation letters.
Madhya Pradesh Home and Jail Minister Babulal Gaur appreciated the policemen for being indispensable during the mass gathering of Simhastha.
He praised the policemen for being courteous and polite towards the pilgrims and for maintaining law and order and traffic regulations.
Gaur said, "Bronze Medals would be given to all the policemen with the state administration symbol and Simhastha logo inscribed."
