A vehicle carrying 23.1 million Nepali rupees was robbed en route to Dhangadi from Mahendranagar in Nepal's far-western district Tuesday, police said.
A group of men dressed as policemen robbed the vehicle that belongs to Nabil Bank when the bank was ferrying the cash to a branch of Nepal's state bank at Dhangadi, 62 km away from Mahendranagar, Xinhua reported citing a police report.
Ramesh Pandit from the district police headquarters said that the robbers took control of the vehicle and tied up the four bank employees on board and looted the cash around 11:30 a.m. The robbers also took away mobile phones and other valuable things of the employees.
Police have started investigation into the incident and have launched massive manhunt for the robbers.
