Spanish rider Marc Marquez was rushed to the medical centre after injuring his shoulder in warmup for the British MotoGP at Silverstone.

The 20-year-old world championship leader, who fell off his Repsol Honda motorbike, was taken by ambulance to the circuit's medical centre, reports Xinhua.

Marquez, who has won the last four GP races, hopes to be the first rookie since American Kenny Roberts in 1978 to win the world championship.
