Swearing-in of two new Uttarakhand HC judges on Friday

Senior lawyers Manoj Kumar Tiwari and Lokpal Singh have been appointed judges of the Uttarakhand High Court and will be sworn in on Friday.

A notification to this effect was issued by the Law and Justice Ministry on Thursday after approval from President Pranab Mukherjee.

The newly appointed judges will be sworn in by High Court Chief Justice K.M. Joseph on Friday, an official said.

The HC has 11 posts of judges. With the appointment of the new judges, the total number of filled posts go up to 10.
