The Hindu daily will be printed on Wednesday and distributed on Thursday as usual, said an official of its owner-publisher Kasturi & Sons Ltd.
"Our people have reached our press located in Maraimalai Nagar. Tomorrow (Thursday), the paper will be distributed as usual," Kasturi & Sons Ltd. director N. Murali told IANS.
He said the employees were on Tuesday not able to reach the printing press in Maraimalai Nagar, around 50 km from here, due to heavy rain.
Consequently, Wednesday's print editions of The Hindu in Chennai, Vellore, Puducherry and Tirupati were cancelled considering the safety of the employees.
"Today (Wednesday), the employees have reached the printing press by taking a circuitous route," Murali added.
