Tegucigalpa, Oct 1 (IANS/EFE) Charred bodies of two men and a woman were recovered Monday from a vehicle here, a police official said.
The bodies had their hands bound and each bore "several machete wounds", the official said, adding that the car was found abandoned near the Nacional soccer stadium.
Police cordoned off the area and launched a search for the suspects, but so far no results have been reported.
Police were yet to identify the victims and to understand motive for the triple murder.
An average of about 20 people are murdered each day in Honduras, which is one of the most violent countries in the world with 92 homicides per 100,000 residents in 2011, say UN statistics.
