Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is set to win Sunday's parliamentary elections based on the initial vote count, Turkish NTV news channel reported.

With 65 percent of the votes counted, the AKP won 43.81 percent of votes, the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) gained 24.26 percent, and the opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) gained 17.12 percent of the votes while the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) won 10.54 percent.
