Aam aadmi champion Mamata Banerjee appears to harbour similar notions about households in Bengal that use six cooking gas cylinders a year. Having demanded that the annual quota for cylinders be raised to 24, she argued that even a small family needs more than six cylinders to meet its bare minimum requirements. Those who were using just six cylinders a year were dieting and not eating, she insisted.
