10-month-old child killed, mother injured in firing

A child was killed and his mother injured in firing by some persons at Sarai Subhadra village in Sangramgarh area here, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when Aradhana Shukla (35) was sitting with her 10-month-old son Veer and some persons indulged in firing, resulting in bullet injuries to the mother-son duo, they said.
While the child died on the spot, Aradhana was rushed to a hospital where her condition was stated to be stable, police said.
No arrest has so far been made in this connection. Further investigations are on.
