The accident took place at Galsi area. Police had earlier said three family members were killed in the mishap.
"Tapas Mukherjee (60) and his daughter-in-law Shree (22) died when their car driven by his son Tambak hit the truck at Khano More," SP S M H Meerza said.
While Tapas died on the spot, Shree succumbed to injuries during treatment at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, he said.
Tapas's wife Tapasi and Tambak were undergoing treatment at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital where their condition is stated to be serious.
